Doofey

Well, we had a long talk about it and decided that our little family wasn't complete without another kitty. So, we made a trip to the county shelter and found a cute little boy to bring home.

His name is Doofenschmirtz... but we call him Doofey for short. (For all of you without kids this name is from a cartoon on Disney channel called "Phineas and Ferb". Paul is a big fan.)

He's only about a year and a half old, which makes him about the same age as Will. The great thing is that they will be able to grow up together, and since Doofey has never had a bad experience with little children he feels comfortable playing with Will.

Here are some photos of them playing with the kitty toys last night. Will carries the stick part and lets the toy drag behind him. Then Doofey runs up and pounces on it. They kept each other entertained for a good half an hour, which in the world of toddlers is an eternity.

After a while Doofey got tired of chasing Will and had to have a rest.

He's a real snuggler, but he has decided that my side of the bed is his and protests whenever it's time to move out of my way.
